V hlubinách digitálního lesa, kde se pixelová magie mísí s hmatatelnou realitou a vytváří mnohé neskutečné dimenze, sídlí Lukáš Dřevjaný alias oxoo. Tento vizuální čaroděj a světelný designér tvoří mosty mezi světlem, prostorem a interaktivitou - ať už v živých vystoupeních, světelných instalacích nebo divadelních představeních. Jeho znalosti moderních technologií nejenže oživují jeho vlastní tvorbu, ale také osvětlují (doslova) nové cesty dalším a to skrze technologické workshopy, mnohé spolupráce a mentoringy, které pořádá. Lukáš vytvořil dílo, na jedné straně působící jako záhadný portál do jiného časoprostoru, na straně druhé však bude fungovat i jako zrcadlo našeho vnitřního světa. 

Skrze sérii LED dlaždic vytváří hypnotické stroboskopické paterny, runy v kyberprostoru. Tyto dlaždice vyzařují ostré a agresivní světlo, které nabádá diváka k pohledu do hlubin vlastní duše. Odkazují na odvrácené stránky, temná údolí sebepoškozování, nástrahy raves, omamných látek a hlasité hudby, které lákají jako zpěvy sirén zbloudilé a osamělé námořníky v rozbouřeném moři dunění techna. 

Je to výpověď o hledání rovnováhy, o distanci od sebedestruktivních praktik a o katarzi, kterou přináší pochopení a akceptace vlastního já. V tomto díle Lukáš nejen vypráví svůj vlastní příběh, ale také nás vyzývá, abychom se zamysleli nad našimi životními volbami a zkoušeli hledat světlo v temnotě. Protože naděje je.

In the depths of the digital forest, where pixel magic mixes with tangible reality and creates many unreal dimensions, resides Lukáš Dřevjaný alias oxoo. This visual wizard and lighting designer creates bridges between light, space and interactivity - whether in live performances, light installations or theatre shows. His knowledge of modern technology not only brings his own work to life, but also illuminates (literally) new paths for others through technology workshops, and the many collaborations and mentorships he hosts. Lukáš has created a work that on the one hand acts as a mysterious portal to another space-time, but on the other hand will also function as a mirror of our inner world. 

Through a series of LED tiles he creates hypnotic strobe-like patterns, runes in cyberspace. These tiles emit a sharp and aggressive light that encourages the viewer to look into the depths of their own soul. They refer to the flipsides, the dark valleys of self-harm, the pitfalls of raves, narcotics and loud music that beckon like siren songs to errant and lonely sailors in a stormy sea of thundering techno.

It‘s a statement about the search for balance, the distance from self-destructive practices, and the catharsis that comes from understanding and accepting one‘s own self. In this piece, Lukáš not only tells his own story, but also challenges us to reflect on our life choices and try to find the light in the darkness. Because there is a hope.

What was your favorite or unforgettable event?

“... I generally love the feeling when, after days or weeks of preparations, visualizations, tests, transporting things and equipment and laborious construction of various installations, the thing lights up.”
